No business lesson today, no hot take, no soap box. This is a list of the random things I was obsessed with: voice notes, PNW hikes, a tiny coffee pod, an AI setup that saved me hours every week and more. Some of these are embarrassing. All of them are true.

What everyday things was I obsessed with?

🎤 Voice notes instead of texting. My friends and I can't always make phone calls, so we send voice notes instead. It's the best way to stay connected without having to read between the lines of typed words. You actually hear the tone, the laugh, the real person. If you haven't tried this with your people yet, 10 out of 10 recommend.

💋 Burt's Bees chapstick. Always and forever. It's on my "if you were stuck on an island and could only choose 3 things" list.

☕ My Nespresso machine, specifically the Sweet Vanilla flavor. It has become a daily ritual and I will not apologize for how excited a tiny coffee pod makes me. What's your daily non-negotiable drink? Coffee, tea, something else entirely?

🍗 Trader Joe's Sous Vide Chicken Thighs. Pre-cooked, vacuum sealed, perfectly tender, six to eight minutes in a skillet and done. I've been more purposeful about food prepping lately and these are making it embarrassingly easy.

🧴 First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I got this as a gift at a women's retreat in February and I'm obsessed. My skin has never been happier.

What was I up to outside of work?

🥾 Hiking in the PNW. I hadn't done it in years and recently did two that reminded me why I live here. Oyster Dome, which is brutal going up and absolutely worth it for the view at the top. And Fragrance Lake, a little over 1,000 feet in elevation gain with the most serene spot at the top. Do you have a favorite hike?

📦 Decluttering my house. All the kids are moving out and I am going through every closet, drawer and shelf like a woman possessed. If you're in this season too, you know how weirdly satisfying and emotional it is at the same time.

📱 Doom-scrolling Instagram. I don't really watch TV or movies, so doom-scrolling is how I justify my screen time. I'm not proud of it, but I'm not stopping either.

What was I listening to and building with?

🎧 Podcast: The Jasmine Star Show. If you're not listening yet, I recommend this one.

🤖 Claude and especially Claude Co-Work. I have automations set up that are saving me several hours a week tracking data, doing copywriting and helping my Sprint clients. If you've been curious about AI but haven't started yet, I get it. Once you do, you'll wonder what took you so long.

What's on your list?

That's my list. What's one thing you're currently obsessed with? Doesn't have to be deep. Doesn't have to be business. Just the thing that's making your life a little better right now.
